Below is a recap&#13;<br \/>\nof the action from Jan. 24 through Feb. 13.<\/p>\n<p>Boys Basketball<\/p>\n<p>As of Feb. 13, 3A Tacoma boys basketball is led by Lincoln&#13;<br \/>\nHigh School, which holds a 13\u20133 league record and 13\u20133 overall. Mount Tahoma&#13;<br \/>\nHigh School follows with an 8\u20138 league mark and 10\u201310 overall, while Bellarmine&#13;<br \/>\nPreparatory School remains a powerhouse with a 16\u20130 league record and 20\u20132&#13;<br \/>\noverall. Other teams in contention include Silas High School (9\u20137 league, 13\u20139&#13;<br \/>\noverall), Gig Harbor High School (10\u20136 league, 13\u20138 overall), and Central&#13;<br \/>\nKitsap High School (5\u201311 league, 9\u201311 overall), all vying for postseason&#13;<br \/>\nseeding.<\/p>\n<p>From Monday, Jan. 26, through Saturday, Feb. 7, 3A boys&#13;<br \/>\nbasketball featured several key conference and early postseason games. Jan. 26&#13;<br \/>\nbegan with Issaquah High School defeating Mount Tahoma 75\u201358 and Bellarmine&#13;<br \/>\nbeating Annie Wright Schools 59\u201347. On Jan. 28, Bellarmine edged Lincoln 54\u201344,&#13;<br \/>\nGig Harbor defeated Silas 77\u201361, and Mount Tahoma outlasted Central Kitsap&#13;<br \/>\n74\u201365. Jan. 30 saw Bellarmine top Gig Harbor 63\u201346, Lincoln narrowly defeat&#13;<br \/>\nMount Tahoma 82\u201373, and Silas prevail over Central Kitsap 76\u201371.<\/p>\n<p>The week of Feb. 2 brought continued dominance from&#13;<br \/>\nBellarmine with a 71\u201339 win over Mount Tahoma, while Lincoln cruised past Silas&#13;<br \/>\n88\u201359. Gig Harbor defeated Central Kitsap 65\u201353. On Feb. 4, Bellarmine topped&#13;<br \/>\nSilas 89\u201368, Lincoln beat Central Kitsap 76\u201352, and Mount Tahoma overcame Gig&#13;<br \/>\nHarbor 74\u201363. Postseason play on Feb. 7 featured Peninsula edging Silas 71\u201365&#13;<br \/>\nand Bellarmine advancing with a 54\u201339 win over River Ridge.<\/p>\n<p>Friday, Feb. 13, postseason matchups included White River&#13;<br \/>\nvisiting Federal Way Memorial at 2:30 p.m., followed by Thomas Jefferson at&#13;<br \/>\nRiver Ridge, Silas at Lakes, and Auburn Mountainview at Bellarmine, all with 7&#13;<br \/>\np.m. starts. Saturday, Feb. 14, features Peninsula against Gig Harbor at 2&#13;<br \/>\np.m., followed by Lakes at White River and Timberline at Todd Beamer, both at 6&#13;<br \/>\np.m. Scores will be updated in the next issue.<\/p>\n<p>Boys District Playoffs<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 District 3 3A Boys Basketball Tournament kicks off&#13;<br \/>\nwith first-round matchups setting the stage for a competitive postseason.&#13;<br \/>\nTop-seeded teams face lower seeds in single-elimination games, with winners&#13;<br \/>\nadvancing toward the semifinals and ultimately the championship at Mount Tahoma&#13;<br \/>\nHigh School.<\/p>\n<p>First Round \u2013 Saturday, Feb. 14 at Higher Seeds<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t#1 Todd Beamer vs. #11 Timberline \u2013 6 p.m.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t#2 White River vs. #10 Lakes \u2013 6 p.m.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t#3 Gig Harbor vs. #12 Peninsula \u2013 2 p.m.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t#4 River Ridge vs. #9 Federal Way \u2013 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Second Round \u2013 Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Higher Seeds<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tWinner #1 vs. #5<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tWinner #2 vs. #6<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tWinner #3 vs. #7<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tWinner #4 vs. #8<\/p>\n<p>Semifinals \u2013 Friday, Feb. 19 at Higher Seeds<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tWinner #5 vs. #11 Mount Tahoma \u2013 5:30 p.m.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tWinner #7 vs. #12 Mount Tahoma \u2013 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Championship \u2013 Saturday, Feb. 21 at Mount Tahoma HS<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tWinner #11 vs. Winner #12 \u2013 5 p.m.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\tBoth teams advance to state.<\/p>\n<p>Girls Basketball<\/p>\n<p>In 3A Tacoma girls basketball, Gig Harbor High School leads&#13;<br \/>\nthe league with a 14\u20132 record and 17\u20134 overall. Bellarmine follows at 12\u20134&#13;<br \/>\nleague, 14\u20136 overall, while Silas stands at 8\u20138 league and 11\u201310 overall.&#13;<br \/>\nLincoln High School is 7\u20139 league, 8\u201310 overall, with Central Kitsap at 4\u201312&#13;<br \/>\nleague and 6\u201314 overall. Mount Tahoma has struggled, posting 0\u201316 in league and&#13;<br \/>\n2\u201318 overall.<\/p>\n<p>From Feb. 2\u20137, conference and postseason games highlighted&#13;<br \/>\nthe competitiveness of the league. Feb. 2 saw Gig Harbor defeat Central Kitsap&#13;<br \/>\n70\u201349, Lincoln beat Silas 62\u201333, and Bellarmine dominate Mount Tahoma 63\u201319.&#13;<br \/>\nFeb. 4 brought Bellarmine\u2019s 65\u201342 win over Silas, Gig Harbor\u2019s 43\u201317 rout of&#13;<br \/>\nMount Tahoma, and Lincoln topping Central Kitsap 77\u201348. Feb. 6 featured Central&#13;<br \/>\nKitsap defeating Mount Tahoma 62\u201339. In postseason play on Feb. 7, Lincoln&#13;<br \/>\nedged Peninsula 61\u201347, while Gig Harbor fell to North Thurston 47\u201331.<\/p>\n<p>Friday, Feb. 13, postseason matchups included Silas at&#13;<br \/>\nLakes, Auburn Mountainview at Bellarmine, and Lincoln at Decatur, all with 7&#13;<br \/>\np.m. starts. Lincoln High School leads with a perfect 10\u20130 league&#13;<br \/>\nrecord and 19\u20132 overall. Silas High School is competitive at 8\u20132 league, 9\u20136&#13;<br \/>\noverall, while Mount Tahoma sits at 9\u20133 league, 11\u20136 overall. Other Tacoma-area&#13;<br \/>\nprograms include Central Kitsap (6\u20134 league, 7\u20138 overall), Gig Harbor (6\u20135&#13;<br \/>\nleague, 8\u20138 overall), and River Ridge (5\u20135 league, 6\u20139 overall).
