The Carolina Panthers<\/a> would have to have some stones to sign wide receiver Jauan Jennings this offseason.<\/p>\n

Jennings has been connected to the Panthers by ESPN’s Matt Bowen, who recently named<\/a> the best team fits for this year’s top 50 free agents. Bowen matches the San Francisco 49ers standout, who ranks 28th on the list, with Carolina:<\/p>\n

The 49ers’ top WR in 2025 can use his 6-foot-3, 212-pound frame and route-running skills to make himself available to quarterback\u00a0Bryce Young, especially in critical down-and-distance situations. Plus, with Jennings joining\u00a0Tetairoa McMillan\u00a0and\u00a0Jalen Coker, the Panthers would have a versatile receiving group that can work every level of the field.<\/p>\n

Well, the real question would be if Jennings can work with Panthers safety Tre’von Moehrig.<\/p>\n

The two had to be separated<\/a> at the end of this past season’s Monday night matchup between the Panthers and 49ers. Moehrig had struck Jennings with a low blow in the final moments of the 20-9 loss<\/a>, and was subsequently suspended<\/a> for the following game<\/a> against the Los Angeles Rams<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But if they could bury the hatchet, Jennings\u2014who amassed 1,618 receiving yards and 16 total touchdowns between 2024 and 2025\u2014might just have himself a ball with a new deal in Carolina.<\/p>\n
