The Steel City will have a new face leading it for the first time in 19 seasons after Mike Tomlin stepped down as the Pittsburgh Steelers\u2019 head coach following 19 seasons in the role.<\/p>\n

McCarthy, just like Tomlin before him, will be faced with finding the quarterback to lead the franchise into the future, an issue that has hovered over the franchise since Ben Roethlisberger retired.<\/p>\n

While he\u2019s on the backend of his career, McCarthy has made it clear that he\u2019d love for four-time Aaron Rodgers, the starter from a season ago, to return for the 2026 campaign. For his part, Rodgers said that he\u2019d take his time with deciding whether he\u2019d play another season or step down.<\/p>\n

However, one Steelers legend is saying that the decision has already been made.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have heard, right [before] the McCarthy thing was announced, I had already heard that Aaron Rodgers had told Mike, If you want me to come back for a year, I\u2019ll come back and join you,\u201d former Pittsburgh quarterback Terry Bradshaw said in an appearance on 103.7 The Buzz, per Steelers Depot.<\/a><\/p>\n

Fans reacted to the news on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe will be an issue for your franchise See it in Green Bay same in NY sorry Arod is past prime,\u201d one fan wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n

\u201cLol Tomlin\u2019s gone and now leaks aplenty lol,\u201d someone else added.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is pure hell man\u2026 (unserious franchise),\u201d one fan added.<\/p>\n
