Among the latest reported moves is the departure of defensive assistant Milton Patterson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Patterson will not be back with the Patriots in 2026, as <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JPasteris_NFL\/status\/2023753733671412127\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">first noted<\/a> by NFL reporter Joseph Pasteris.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">A former linebacker at Jackson State, Patterson arrived in New England last offseason. He was one of four defensive assistants on Mike Vrabel\u2019s first coaching staff with the team, joining Ben McAdoo, Kevin Richardson and Vinny DePalma. The latter has recently been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patspulpit.com\/new-england-patriots-news\/122279\/patriots-promote-zak-kuhr-to-full-time-defensive-coordinator\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">promoted to inside linebackers coach<\/a> in the aftermath of Zak Kuhr moving up from that role to defensive coordinator.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Before taking his talents to Foxborough, Patterson coached at several college programs including Jackson State, Mississippi Valley State and, most recently, Florida A&amp;M.
