What happened last season to cause the Bucs\u2019 implosion?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a painful subject.<\/p>\n

How did the Bucs lose to the Saints, Panthers, Falcons and Dolphins in consecutive weeks? In December!<\/p>\n

Joe remains in disbelief but largely has moved on.<\/p>\n

Lavonte David has moved on, as well, but he described the pain of that stretch during his recent visit to the \u00a0Caps Off<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n

He elaborated on his quote that the Bucs \u201csh*t the bed<\/a>\u201d after starting 6-2.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been through hard times like that before, but with the talented team that we had, it\u2019s kind of like very, very difficult,\u201d David said.<\/p>\n

The Bucs\u2019 captain and linebacker legend blamed \u201cinjuries, lot of plug-and-play guys, lot of people not really kind of like getting their feel and stuff like that,\u201d among other things.<\/p>\n

The pain was so bad, David said, it brought him back to his dark days of Bucs history after being drafted in 2012.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was tough. It was hard, just having flashbacks to the past [years of The Lost Decade]; I kind of thought those days was over,\u201d David said of last season\u2019s losing stretch. \u201cI still think they are over, but it was just a tough, tough year, for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
