A familiar name has found himself a new home.<\/p>\n

According to NFL Network insider Tom Garafolo, the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> are hiring<\/a> former Carolina Panthers<\/a> coach Al Holcomb as a senior defensive assistant. Holcomb served in a number of roles for the Panthers over a total of eight years.<\/p>\n

Holcomb got his start in Carolina as their linebackers coach in 2013. He’d depart following the 2017 campaign, following Steve Wilks in becoming the defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After a one-year stop with the Cleveland Browns<\/a> in 2019, Holcomb returned<\/a> to the Panthers in 2020 as their defensive run game coordinator. He was then promoted to assistant head coach on defense in 2022, and later took over<\/a> as the interim defensive coordinator after Wilks replaced former head coach Matt Rhule.<\/p>\n

The Buffalo Bills<\/a>, in 2023, would hire Holcomb as a senior defensive assistant. He’d go on to serve as their linebackers coach in 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n
