In the end, Tafur feels the $28 million franchise tag is too much for Jennings.\u00a0<br \/>\nTafur also doesn\u2019t think the 49ers would sign K <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PineEd00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Eddy Pi\u00f1eiro<\/a> to the $6.8 million franchise tag for kickers.\u00a0<br \/>\nTafur has G <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BurfSp00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Spencer Burford<\/a> at No. 3, knowing teams like the Packers are always eager to sign young offensive linemen.\u00a0<br \/>\nTafur could see RB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RobiBr01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Brian Robinson<\/a> Jr. being re-signed, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GuerIs00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Isaac Guerendo<\/a> being a cut candidate.\u00a0<br \/>\nAs for WR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BourKe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kendrick Bourne<\/a>, Tafur writes that San Francisco would like him back if he doesn\u2019t demand a contract similar to the three-year, $19.5 million he got from the Patriots.\u00a0<br \/>\nFor WR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MoorSk01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Skyy Moore<\/a> to return, Tafur thinks HC Kyle Shanahan would need greater plans than the five receptions he got in 2025.\u00a0<br \/>\nTafur writes that S <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PinnJa01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jason Pinnock<\/a>\u2018s $1.17 million salary in 2025 was manageable enough for him to be brought back on next season.\u00a0<br \/>\nAs for LB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GiffLu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Luke Gifford<\/a>, Tafur points out that San Francisco made special teams a priority last season. Gifford made the Pro Bowl as a special teams player.\u00a0<br \/>\nWith G <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BartBe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ben Bartch<\/a>, Tafur notes that the lineman was unable to stay healthy in 2025.\u00a0<br \/>\nTafur doesn\u2019t see any reason to not bring back P <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MorsTh00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Thomas Morstead<\/a> or LS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WeekJo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jon Weeks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The offensive coordinator is a key hire for any coaching staff, especially one charged with developing a young quarterback. New Giants HC John Harbaugh will entrust QB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DartJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jaxson Dart<\/a> to the tutelage of Matt Nagy, the former Bears head coach who sandwiched that tenure around two stints as the OC for the Chiefs. Given Nagy was fired by the Bears and was allowed to walk by Kansas City, it wasn\u2019t the most inspiring hire of the cycle. But former Cowboys HC and current NBC analyst <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GarrJa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jason Garrett<\/a> is a fan, and explained why.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Matt will be great for Jaxson [because] he has a good feel for people, really good feel for quarterbacks, good understanding of how to put the whole thing together,\u201d Garrett said via <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/14\/sports\/why-nfl-people-believe-matt-nagy-could-be-perfect-fit-for-jaxon-dart\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ryan Dunleavy<\/a> of the New York Post. \u201cHe\u2019ll have balanced attacks and plays that complement each other. There will be stuff that\u2019s sound, old-school football, there will be cutting-edge things, there will be game-plan nuances. All the stuff that we\u2019ve seen in Kansas City that he\u2019s been such a big part of, I think you\u2019ll start seeing some of that in New York.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7043965\/2026\/02\/17\/seahawks-2022-draft-class-free-agents-rankings\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic<\/a> ranks the Seahawks\u2019 top impending free agents this offseason:<\/p>\n<p>Dugar could see CB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WoolTa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Riq Woolen<\/a> having multiple suitors on the open market, but is unsure if he will get a similar deal to the three-year, $40 million contract CB Shaq Griffin got from the Jaguars after leaving Seattle in 2021.\u00a0<br \/>\nDugar wonders if teams will covet WR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/ShahRa00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rashid Shaheed<\/a>\u2018s game-changing speed. If he doesn\u2019t re-sign with Seattle, Dugar thinks he\u2019ll have suitors on the market.\u00a0<br \/>\nRegarding RB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WalkKe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kenneth Walker<\/a> III, Dugar thinks the $14.5 million franchise tag will be too pricey. However, the $11.7 million transition tag could be a better option.\u00a0<br \/>\nAs for CB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JobeJo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Josh Jobe<\/a>, Dugar could see him getting a similar contract to the three-year, $33 million deal CB <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/ReedD.00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">D.J. Reed<\/a> got from the Jets in 2022.\u00a0<br \/>\nDugar writes that S <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BryaCo01.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Coby Bryant<\/a> could get a similar contract to Seahawks S <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LoveJu00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Julian Love<\/a>\u2018s $11 million annual salary.\u00a0<br \/>\nDugar thinks EDGE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MafeBo00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Boye Mafe<\/a> could become a starter elsewhere, knowing Seattle has Uchenne Nwosu, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LawrDe00.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DeMarcus Lawrence<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HallDe04.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Derick Hall<\/a> under contract in 2026<br \/>\nDugar feels it makes sense to bring back OT <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=JoneJo07,JoneJo06&amp;search=Josh+Jones&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Josh Jones<\/a>, given the importance of veteran depth on the offensive line.\u00a0<br \/>\nDugar calls WR <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/Y\/YounDa02.htm?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=nfltraderumors.co&amp;utm_campaign=2026-02-18_pfr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dareke Young<\/a> an important special teams player and could see him being retained.\u00a0<br \/>\nThe NFL <a href=\"https:\/\/operations.nfl.com\/inside-football-ops\/rules-enforcement\/gameday-accountability\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> Seahawks CB Josh Jobe was fined a total of $18,444 for his two unnecessary roughness penalties in the Super Bowl.\u00a0<br \/>\nBoth infractions came on the same play.
