After firing longtime head coach John Harbaugh<\/a>, owner Steve Bisciotti made it clear he was tired of coming up short and that a new regime was needed. They have built one of the most exciting staffs in the NFL after hiring Jesse Minter<\/a>, while also bringing in bight-eyed, scrappy coordinators in Declan Doyle and Anthony Weaver.<\/p>\n With up-and-coming coaches taking the reins, the sky could be the limit for Baltimore. There is a whole lot to prove, but given each of Minter, Doyle, and Weaver\u2019s recent quick rise on the coaching front, many are eager to see how the new-look Ravens will play out in 2026. \u201cI think there\u2019s a foundational way that the Ravens play, that we need to play like. But I also think that there\u2019s a new age and a new way to do things. That\u2019s the reason we\u2019re all sitting up here,\u201d Minter said. \u201cI think it\u2019ll be up to everybody watching us to see what\u2019s different about it.\u201d<\/p>\n Since the moment he stepped through that door in Baltimore, he\u2019s got the NFL world intrigued by what he will bring. They had Super Bowl aspirations, but fell flat and missed the playoffs. This offseason, they needed to revamp the coaching staff and adjust to the changing landscape of football. They\u2019ve done that, and it\u2019s time for Minter, Doyle, and Weaver to reintroduce Ravens football to the NFL, while also adding their own spin on things.<\/p>\n There\u2019s obviously a lot of work to do between now and Week 1 of the 2026 regular season. Still, there\u2019s already a ton of talent for Minter and company to work with, and with some young, innovative minds now in charge, they could unlock another level within this roster.<\/p>\n On the offense, Declan Doyle has quickly become a highly regarded offensive mind, and the Ravens are lucky to have hired him<\/a>. While he has never been a lead playcaller, he played a pivotal role in the Chicago Bears’ breakout in 2025, as well as quarterback Caleb Williams\u2019 development. He\u2019s learned under Sean Payton and Ben Johnson, allowing him to pick the brains of some of the best old school and new school playcallers. With that experience, there\u2019s no telling what heights Lamar Jackson could reach in 2026.<\/p>\n The possibilities on defense are just as fascinating. Jesse Minter will be calling plays this year, and his success with the Los Angeles Chargers defense gives Ravens fans every reason to believe that the team\u2019s defense will be back to their dominating ways in 2026. With coaching experience in Charm City from 2017 to 2020, he knows exactly what success looks like for a Baltimore defense, and he\u2019ll add his own creativity to it.<\/p>\n
