On February 13th, my little brother lost his wife Carissa suddenly and unexpectedly,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DU6RccWkc95\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Hoyer, 40, wrote<\/a> on his social media Wednesday, including a photo of his brother\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe leaves behind him and their four little girls, Josie, Lainey, Ellie, and Hattie. Every bit helps.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Brian and his brother Matthew set up a donation page through GoFundMe, which states, \u201cCarissa Rae Hoyer was suddenly called home to the Lord at the age of 36.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It did not list a cause of death. <\/p>\n<p>A 15-year NFL vet, Brian last played with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. <\/p>\n<p>He had three separate tours with the Patriots and won a Super Bowl in the 2018 season, with New England defeating the Los Angeles Rams, 13-3, on Feb. 3, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Brian also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts. <\/p>\n<p>Brian Hoyer #7 of the Houston Texans smiles after defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars on January 3, 2016 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
