Detroit Lions<\/a> star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson<\/a> is officially cleared after suffering a broken leg last season. With that in mind, the star should see his extension coming soon, which could be a mega-extension that equals or tops Myles Garrett\u2019s<\/a> huge $40 million per year deal with the Cleveland Browns<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that Aidan Hutchinson is fully cleared I believe that he will get a huge deal from the Lions..He will be among the highest paid edge rushers in the NFL as he probably should be,” NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said.<\/p>\n

Garrett\u2019s $40 million per year already sets a high bar for the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> to meet when it comes to the next extension for T.J. Watt<\/a>. Hutchinson could top that number, driving the asking price for Watt\u2019s annual gross average and potentially guaranteed money up even more.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old edge rusher remains one of the NFL\u2019s elites. At the annual league meetings last week, general manager Omar Khan said the team hopes to see Watt finish his career with the Steelers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to get into the contract numbers, but if you\u2019re referring to T.J. [Watt], I assume, I\u2019ll just say that I\u2019m very hopeful that T.J. will finish his career as a Steeler,\u201d Khan said.<\/p>\n

He had just 11.5 sacks this past year and dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season.
