Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton didn\u2019t sugarcoat his perspective on marriage and relationships during an appearance on Wednesday\u2019s installment of the \u201cIt\u2019s Giving\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Newton \u2014 whose BET talk show \u201c106 & Sports\u201d was canceled this week after one season \u2014 was brutally honest when asked, \u201cDo you feel like women\u2019s value gets lowered when they have multiple children by multiple men?\u201d by host Sarah Fontenot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think that the reality to that answer is women\u2019s value get lower the more children that they have. I was having this conversation with one of the mothers of my children and she\u2019s still fine,\u201d Newton, who has nine kids with three different women, said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut like I was telling her, I was like, \u2018Yo, the guy that you\u2019re dating or will date ain\u2019t willing to love on these five children that you have, that ain\u2019t the guy for you. Because when I came into your life, I was willing to accept you and whatever you had.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are guys that\u2019s out there that\u2019s just going to say, \u2018Them ain\u2019t my kids, I want you.\u2019 <\/p>\n

\u201cWell, that ain\u2019t how it works. But that\u2019s not to say she can\u2019t find nobody, I\u2019m pretty sure she has somebody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Newton did not name which of his exes he was referring to. <\/p>\n

He has four children with ex-fianc\u00e9e Kia Proctor \u2014 sons\u00a0Chosen Sebastian, Camidas Swain and\u00a0Cashmere Saint\u00a0and daughter\u00a0Sovereign-Dior Cambella \u2014 and helps raise Proctor\u2019s older daughter, Shakira.<\/p>\n

The ESPN analyst shares two children with photographer LaReina Shaw \u2014 their son,\u00a0Caesar, and Shaw\u2019s older son, Jaden, from a previous relationship.<\/p>\n

Newton and his girlfriend Jasmin Brown welcomed a baby boy last July \u2014 after the comedian gave birth to their daughter in March 2024.<\/p>\n

Newton and Fontenot went back and forth discussing their personal lives in the episode, titled, \u201cyou can be HAPPY without being MARRIED!\u201d <\/p>\n

It comes after the news this week that BET pulled the plug on\u00a0\u201c106 & Sports\u201d \u2014 the spinoff of the network\u2019s famed video countdown show\u00a0\u201c106 & Park\u201d that he co-hosted with CBS basketball analyst Ashley Nicole Moss \u2014 after an eight episode-run. <\/p>\n

Newton announced<\/a> Wednesday that he will reinvest his\u00a0\u201c106 & Sports\u201d paycheck\u00a0back into a six-stop college football tailgate series this fall.<\/p>\n

The No. 1 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Auburn, Newton played 11 seasons for the Panthers and Patriots, earning three Pro Bowl nods and an NFL MVP in 2015, when he led the Panthers to a Super Bowl appearance.<\/p>\n
