They owe him through 2026. After the season at Stanford, Reich, at 64, could have lived the good life and cashed his checks. He could have been an adviser to one of his coaching friends, such as Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, with whom he discussed the possibility a couple of months ago. But the Jets presented an opportunity for a comeback. However, even the best systems need some classic passing concepts. You need a quarterback to throw it down the field and a receiver to win a contested catch, separate at the catch point, or something to do something special. This article is a bit more random, but I’m trying to focus on some of the concepts and extras I expect. I think Green Bay’s offense over the past year is more of a ‘greatest hits’ of concepts offense than the Rams have been under McVay, or the 49ers under Shanahan. I think LaFleur is a bit more expansive when it comes to running standalone concepts that aren’t necessarily tied to the running game. It’s why I see the Packers’ offense as a good fit for the Eagles, as it is sort of McVay/Shanahan without being all the way in. They are quite vertical, which suits this current Eagles’ roster.

Good OL News – Iggles Blitz
Mekhi Becton is expected to be released in the coming weeks. I’m just not sure he’s a good fit for the new system so the team may not be interested in a reunion. The Eagles may now prefer blockers that aren’t as tall and are more athletic. They’ll still want big, strong blockers. Good year to need … any sort of edge rusher at all Bad year to need … a truly elite dude (unless you’d like to send two first-rounders for Maxx Crosby). If your favorite team’s general manager can’t find a good fit at edge rusher this offseason, tell him to take a hike. Putting aside the Crosby trade rumors for now, here’s a list of expected free agent edge rushers: Trey Hendrickson, Odafe Oweh, Jaelan Phillips, Khalil Mack, K’Lavon Chaisson, Boye Mafe, Joey Bosa and Jadeveon Clowney. The main thing that impresses me is the variety. Oweh, Chaisson and Mafe are speed artists who can create pressure fast. Guys like Mack, Clowney and Kingsley Enagbare (Packers) are all hitters in the running game. Want to gamble on injured, aging veterans? Hendrickson, Bosa, Cameron Jordan (Saints) and Von Miller (Commanders) could all have something left. What about undeveloped traits? Kwity Paye (Colts) and Arnold Ebiketie (Falcons) are your guys. There’s something for everyone in this group. Hendrickson, Oweh and Phillips can all reasonably be projected for 10-plus sacks next season, while Mafe, Chaisson, Mack and Bosa can all be eight-sack players. And that’s without any surprises from more middle-tier veterans like Dre’Mont Jones and Al-Quadin Muhammad.

ESPN has Dallas Cowboys win total at 8.5 for 2026 season, second in NFC East – Blogging The Boys
The buildings in Las Vegas are tall and shiny for a reason. Miami made several moves on Monday ahead of the true start to the NFL offseason, including releasing veteran wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The wideout is working back from a dislocated knee he suffered during the 2025 season, and said recently that he is “feeling good” about his rehab. Hill was one of four players the Dolphins released on Monday, including pass rusher Bradley Chubb, guard James Daniels, and wideout Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. The four cuts together clear over $56 million in 2026 cap space for the Dolphins as new head coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan take over in Miami. While the injury could cost the 31-year-old WR the majority of his offseason, and cut into the next regular season, there are teams that would be smart to inquire about his availability. Here are five such teams.

…

Social Media Information:

BGN Facebook Page: Click here to like our page

BGN Twitter: Follow @BleedingGreen

BGN BlueSky: Follow @bleedgreennation.bsky.social

BGN Instagram: Follow @BleedingGreenInsta

BGN Manager: Follow Brandon Lee Gowton on Twitter | BlueSky | Threads

BGN Radio Twitter: Follow @BGN_Radio

Eagles Question of the Day: Do you wish the Eagles brought Frank Reich back?
