The Miami Dolphins<\/a> made a big decision to kick off their massive offseason renovations, as they released Tyreek Hill to save over $20 million in cap space.<\/p>\n

That move made Hill a free agent and capable of signing as soon as he wants to. But it takes two to tango.<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>, with their wide receiver need, seem like an obvious landing spot for Hill this offseason. But as ESPN’s Adam Schefter<\/a> shared, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid commented on Hill’s free agency.<\/p>\n

While the superstar WR is recovering from a gruesome leg injury, Reid doesn’t seem like he has a strong opinion on Hill yet.<\/p>\n

“I don’t even know if Tyreek (Hill) is healthy right now to do anything,” Reid said. “I’m sure he’s working hard on that part of it and trying to get all that straightened out. We talk about everything, but we know what you know, and he’s out there cranking away trying to get himself back to where he can play, period.”<\/p>\n

While the recently released former Dolphins receiver seems like a clear fit for the Chiefs this offseason, this comment from Reid doesn’t indicate much about a potential reunion.<\/p>\n

But his comments do reveal how teams are likely viewing Hill this offseason. The massive injury issue, a knee dislocation and torn ACL, is limiting his free agent prospects this offseason.<\/p>\n

It’s not a surprise, as a soon-to-be 32-year-old wide receiver who just suffered a brutal leg injury that relies on his game-breaking speed isn’t getting a lot of interest from around the league.<\/p>\n

Reid and other teams might have interest, but as of now, thanks to the injury uncertainty, the former Dolphins wide receiver isn’t set to sign anywhere just yet.<\/p>\n

When his injury is clearer, teams like the Chiefs might be more ready to spend on him this offseason. But it’s a risky move, since his injury isn’t a simple one.<\/p>\n

The eight-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro Super Bowl champion might be headed back to the Chiefs for a reunion. But, as of now, thanks to Reid’s comments on Hill’s injury, such a reunion is a bit up in the air.<\/p>\n
