He uses his reach to get into the chest of defenders and with his anchor, he doesn’t get bullied into the pocket. He’s an aggressive puncher. He’s hyperfocused and has alert eyes. This past season, Fa’amoe gave up two sacks and 20 pressures. His lateral quickness is a concern and that could lead to a kick inside to guard.

“Fa’amoe is at his best utilizing his length and power to mitigate power pass rushes,” Jackson said. “He does not have the foot quickness to consistently mirror, creating soft edges against speedier pass rushers.”

Fa’amoe works hard to sustain as a run blocker. To use one word to describe his run blocking, gritty. He has functional mobility when he gets out in space.

“Fa’amoe excels in moving edge rushers and defensive tackles on double teams up to linebackers and is solid in one-on-one base blocks at tackle,” Jackson said. “He leans on defensive linemen in the run game and is physical and powerful enough to produce knock backs in the run game.”

Fit with the Packers

The Packers have a pretty strong track record of drafting college offensive tackles and kicking them inside to guard.
