A familiar face for Indianapolis Colts’<\/a> defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo is now on the open market.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly releasing linebacker Logan Wilson in favor of $6.5 million<\/a> in salary cap savings.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys acquired Wilson via a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> before the trade deadline. With Dallas, Wilson appeared in seven games with one start, making 28 tackles with a forced fumble, according to ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Before joining the Cowboys, Wilson had been with the Bengals since the 2020 season, spending his entire career with Anarumo up until the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

Wilson played an important role in the Bengals’ Super Bowl run a few years back. He’s been a sound tackler during his career and has forced 12 interceptions and 13 pass breakups, per PFF<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Adding Wilson to the linebacker room won’t solve the Colts<\/a> issues at the position. However, he could provide experienced depth, which is very much needed, and his familiarity with Anarumo’s system could hopefully help him hit the ground running.<\/p>\n

The price has to be right here with Wilson’s play having taken a step back, and if signed, this addition shouldn’t stop Chris Ballard from continuing to add to the linebacker position. The Colts are in need of an added coverage presence here.<\/p>\n
