Earlier in the week, a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz indicated that the Miami Dolphins were open to trading star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick this offseason as the team looks to rebuild \u2014 or reset \u2014 under new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and new head coach Jeff Hafley.<\/p>\n
On Friday, NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe added more names to the list of players teams would be calling the Dolphins about in regards to trades ahead of the 2026 NFL season.<\/p>\n

During his Wolfe of Ball Street segment on NFL Network, Wolfe had this to say about the potential trade offers Miami could be fielding in short order:<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of rival teams are eager to talk to the Dolphins in Indianapolis to see which players they are willing to trade. This is a team that is resetting towards youth, so of course the Dolphins would love to trade Tua [Tagovailoa]. There\u2019s going to be some difficulty with the money there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wolfe continued, \u201cTeams would love for them to trade Jaylen Waddle and De\u2019Von Achane. I\u2019m told, right now, they\u2019re wanting to keep those guys as core players. But one name that could create some interest \u2014 safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. [A trade] could be mutually beneficial. He\u2019s 29 years old, coming off of a strong year. He can still be an impact starter. He\u2019s set to make $15.6 million dollars in non-guaranteed money. Maybe he could be traded to a team \u2014 to a contender \u2014 that could need that big boost.\u201d<\/p>\n
The NFL Scouting Combine begins on Monday, February 23rd in Indianapolis, so if the Dolphins are open to conversations surrounding trades for any of their veteran players, we should hear whispers in the usual places in that regard very soon.
