The Baltimore Ravens should be searching desperately for offensive guard help this offseason. With the firing of John Harbaugh<\/a> and the hiring of Jesse Minter<\/a>, the Ravens made it clear that the new regime is focused on maximizing quarterback Lamar Jackson\u2019s success<\/a> and reaching their goal of the Super Bowl. The front office should be doing everything in its power to give Jackson the help he needs.<\/p>\n

While the defense was the most evident issue in 2025, the interior offensive line failed to hold up its end of the bargain. Specifically, it was the duo of Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele that was the catalyst for the inconsistency in Baltimore’s offense. Entering the year with those two starting was a massive gamble, and it didn\u2019t even come close to paying off.<\/p>\n

The draft is always an option to improve the team, especially for an organization like the Ravens that focuses mainly on building through that process. However, for the hopefully vacant right guard spot, they should look for a proven veteran to replace Faalele. They could have an ideal fit, as the Cleveland Browns have opened the door for guard Wyatt Teller.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Teller would not be returning to Cleveland in 2026. With new head coach Todd Monken taking over<\/a>, it\u2019s clear that he\u2019s looking to start fresh on offense, allowing the possibility for the Ravens to negotiate with the three-time Pro Bowler Teller.<\/p>\n

Lamar Jackson can not have the same offensive line in front of him in 2026. He endured a seemingly endless injury bug due to the hits he took every week. Teller could be an ideal fit to help bring better protection. <\/p>\n

Admittedly, Teller isn’t a sure thing. At 31 years old, he is a bit past his prime. He earned three straight Pro Bowl nods from 2021 to 2023, but since then, it\u2019s been a bit of a struggle in Cleveland.<\/p>\n

In 2024 and 2025, he posted Pro Football Focus grades<\/a> of 62.6 and 62.2, respectively. While those numbers hover around average outputs according to the database, he doesn\u2019t appear to be a top guard anymore. A change of scenery could shift his career back in the right direction, though.<\/p>\n

The Browns\u2019 offense has hit a major roadblock over the past two seasons. They\u2019ve gone through an identity crisis with the trade for quarterback Deshaun Watson unraveling in a disastrous way, and the rookie quarterback situation from 2025 failing to provide any sort of consistency. That can take a toll on the offensive line, which also faced its own identity issues, with countless combinations starting up front throughout 2025.<\/p>\n

Injuries have also forced Teller to take a step over the last two years. In 2024, an MCL sprain caused him to miss four games in the early-to-midseason point, and while he returned in Week 8, the sprain likely hampered his play later in the campaign. In 2025, a calf injury put him on the shelf for four games, and although he made an admirable effort to return, it ultimately ended his season.<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, Baltimore would be a much better situation for Teller. Not only would he be playing within stable passing and rushing attacks, but he would be taking snaps alongside some strong offensive tackles, and hopefully, a Pro Bowl center in Tyler Linderbaum.<\/p>\n

With a better squad around him and some better injury luck, Teller could be a bounce-back candidate, even in the late stages of his career. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta should be doing his due diligence by engaging in contract talks with free agent guards like Teller.<\/p>\n
