FRISCO, Texas \u2013 The Cowboys and running back Javonte Williams have agreed to terms on a three-year, $24 million contract.<\/p>\n
Williams, 25, signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Cowboys going into the 2025 season. Now, after a career-best 1,201 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns, Dallas keeps Williams in their backfield long term.<\/p>\n
After the 2025 season concluded, the Cowboys were not shy about the fact that they wanted to keep Williams in Dallas long-term.<\/p>\n
“Javonte’s at the top of our list to go out and sign,” Cowboys COO\/co-owner Stephen Jones said in early January. “We want to bring him back. We want to sign him to a multiple year deal.”<\/p>\n
And now they have.
