Folks wanna talk about restructures & extensions and yada-yada…and they certainly have to play in those areas some but that\u2019s also the nonsense that got em\u2019 into the cap purgatory they\u2019re in now – Grier\u2019s favorite – kickin\u2019 the can down the road. Sooner or later the piper calls due.<\/p>\n
They will assuredly do what they can to prevent a complete dumpster fire but next year fans need to be prepared for some \u2018try really hard but stink\u2019 comin\u2019. Unless this Willis kid comes on board & he\u2019s the next Jayden Daniels, Mahomes, Jackson, Allen level elite (which…c\u2019mon….this is the Dolphins – that ain\u2019t happenin\u2019) we\u2019re lookin\u2019 dumpster fire pretty damn square in the eyes for next year at least.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s kinda like the Gov\u2019t. in ways – folks need to realize there is pain comin\u2019 for years of neglect\/idiocy before we can get back to where we\u2019re strong again. Accept it & be strong & hold to yer plan, no matter how painful initially. It\u2019s just where this trainwreck needs to head to get back on track.<\/p>\n
The constant \u2018trade back\u2019 talk here amazes me. Yup…let\u2019s get outta #11 cause we need warm bodies (whether conviction rests in a legitimate star candidate) so we can get 2 guys that we hope might someday turn into relatively solid starters. I just don\u2019t get that mentality? Not saying it\u2019s the \u2018wrong\u2019 thing to do if circumstances dictate but the eager willingness to just drop – the further down the ladder ya go the lesser the chances. We haven\u2019t had a drafted STAR on this team in over 20 years! Well…maybe X, and we do have Achane now but he\u2019s kinda outta nowhere LUCK more than any sorta strategic consistency.<\/p>\n
Everybody talks about how great Tua was in 23\u2019 – we didn\u2019t beat a single team above .500! That guy shrinks the bigger the stage…but there were single games here & there that were special (love those stories). His IQ, or at least AWARENESS is…..scary ugly. Cold is Kryptonite. His body is (sadly for the kid) just not capable of NFL play. And Grier\/McDork gave him the keys to the city banking on continued development. It\u2019s time we put forth a concrete plan, stick to it & stop managing this team\/organization like it\u2019s a video game.<\/p>\n
