PHOENIX (AZFamily) \u2014 Rondale Moore, a former player on the Arizona Cardinals, died Saturday, according to multiple reports. He was 25 years old. <\/p>\n
Louisville football coach Jeff Brohm, who coached Moore during his college career at Purdue, released a statement<\/a> Saturday. <\/p>\n \u201cRondale Moore was a complete joy to coach. The ultimate competitor who wouldn\u2019t back down from any challenge. Rondale had a work ethic unmatched by anyone. A great teammate that would come through in any situation. We all loved Rondale; we loved his smile and his competitive edge that always wanted to please everyone he came in contact with. We offer all our thoughts and prayers to Rondale and his family. We love him very much.\u201d<\/p>\n As a freshman in 2018, Moore had 114 catches for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was named a first-team All-American.<\/p>\n Moore was on the Minnesota Vikings roster for the 2025 season, but was placed on injured reserve prior to the season. He also played for the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons.<\/p>\n He was selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft by the Cardinals and played three seasons with the team before being traded. <\/p>\n Many Arizona Cardinals players took to social media when hearing the news of his death.<\/p>\n Can\u2019t even begin to fathom or process this.<\/p>\n There\u2019s just no way.<\/p>\n Way too soon. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, teammates, and everyone who loved him and had the privilege of knowing such a special person.\u201d<\/p>\n The Minnesota Vikings head coach, Kevin O\u2019Connell, said he was devastated by the news. <\/p>\n \u201cWhile Rondale had been a member of the Vikings for a short time, he was someone we came to know well and care about deeply. He was a humble, soft-spoken, and respectful young man who was proud of his Indiana roots. As a player, he was disciplined, dedicated and resilient despite facing adversity multiple times as injuries sidelined him throughout his career. We are all heartbroken by the fact he won\u2019t continue to live out his NFL dream, and we won\u2019t all have a chance to watch him flourish.
