KANSAS CITY, Mo. \u2014 The Kansas City Chiefs held a pro shop sale on Saturday, giving fans the unique opportunity to buy gear issued to players and rare and collectible items as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a line, I\u2019d probably say 200 people plus, the first person got here at 6 a.m. in line, and it was very steady for the first hour and a half,\u201d Chiefs Retail Director Kevin Bayus said.<\/p>\n

Some people drove into town to be able to be at the sale at 10:00 a.m. when it opened.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe decided to get up at 5:30 this morning, jump in the car and drive three hours down here and shop again,\u201d said Ashley Prieksat, who drove with her daughter Ava from Iowa.<\/p>\n

New to the sale this year are jerseys. Gavin Johnson and Jake Bradley were pleasantly surprised to find jerseys from every era of Chiefs football.<\/p>\n

\u201cNew players, old players. A little bit of everything,\u201d Johnson said, holding a Marc Boerigter nameplate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI ended up coming away with stuff from our childhood. But like, \u201904-ish era. So, interesting that they had stuff from all the way back then.\u201d<\/p>\n

They even had Super Bowl jerseys and other rare collectibles.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re game-issued jerseys. We have some Norma Hunt patches on some of the jerseys, Super Bowl patches, and some of the NFL 100 logo on them. So, a really cool variety of jerseys,\u201d Bayus said.<\/p>\n

Zach Cavanaugh has been coming to the sale for years and always leaves with gear.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, it\u2019s really special. I\u2019ve been coming here, this is my third year, and it\u2019s really special to come in,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got Rashee Rice\u2019s pullover. I mean, where can you ever get that?\u201d<\/p>\n

He even buys for future holidays, taking advantage of some of the deals you won\u2019t find elsewhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cGet here early, bring a whole bag of cash because it\u2019s worth it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m, you know, getting some Father\u2019s Day stuff, getting some birthday stuff. So, you know, anything that I could do to kind of score big with not really spend too much on Chiefs stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n
