Kelce dated Kayla Nicole on and off from 2017 to 2022 before famously moving on with Swift in 2024<\/a>\u2014and the sports journalist hinted at the NFL star being the \u201cright man, wrong time\u201d while opening up about the reasons behind their breakup in a new interview.<\/p>\n

While chatting with Love Island\u2019s Ace Greene in a TikTok live video on Thursday, February 19, the conversation turned to Nicole\u2019s last relationship, which she said was \u201cprobably, like, three years ago now. It\u2019s been a long time.\u201d The influencer didn\u2019t mention Kelce by name, but she also shared rare comments reflecting on why their five-year relationship ultimately didn\u2019t work out, per TMZ<\/a>. \u201cWho knows. [It] could be compatibility issues,\u201d Nicole mused, also saying it could have been a situation of \u201cright person, wrong time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nicole didn\u2019t speak on Kelce\u2019s current relationship with Swift, but she revealed that she\u2019s moved on and is looking for love again\u2014although she quipped that finding her Prince Charming is a bit of a tall order in the modern dating scene. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of sad because I feel like dating in 2026 is just hard all the way around.
