Former members of the Tennessee Titans<\/a> continue to pop up on social media and podcasts, sharing their thoughts on the Titans’ future, opening up about their experiences in the league, and reflecting on the past.<\/p>\n

Former Titans tight end Delanie Walker recently joined Sterling Holmes of FanSided to discuss a multitude of topics<\/a>, including his personal Mount Rushmore of tight ends, and it included a few surprises.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet’s see. John Mackey. Obviously, John Mackey got to be on there. John Mackey was the first tight end to be a tight end like us. This new era (of) tight end. He was a receiving tight end.\u201d Walker said. “Uh, man, I’m going to have to go — I got to go, Shannon Sharpe, man. I got to go Shannon Sharpe on there.<\/p>\n

“When I was a kid, I didn’t want to be a tight end, but when I saw Shannon Sharpe, I’m like if any if I was ever a tight end, I would be like Shannon Sharpe. Fast, make moves, catch, explosive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walker continued, \u201cUm, Tony Gonzalez. Yeah, you’ve got to go Tony Gonzalez. Who else would I put in there right now?\u201d<\/p>\n

And then added a bit of a surprise to round out his fourth, \u201cOh, let’s go. Jeremy Shockey. I like Jeremy Shockey. Like, I know Jeremy Shockey was a bad boy in there, but I like that bad boy mentality. That blonde hair. Just a dog out there. Man.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walker, a 3-time Pro Bowler and 14-year NFL veteran, also mentioned current Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce as another potential candidate before discussing retirement, but didn’t have him on the initial monument.<\/p>\n
