Unfortunately, a severe neck injury suffered in late 2024 derailed his promising trajectory.<\/p>\n
For keen observers, the canary in the coal mine was all but dead months ago. Between the Browns\u2019 high selection of Carson Schwesinger in this past year’s draft and the somber message put out by JOK over the summer the writing was on the wall.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
To their credit, the Browns struck gold with Schwesinger. The standout just capped off a brilliant campaign by winning the AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award, cementing himself as a foundational piece moving forward. However, Cleveland will not soon replace the electric athlete that JOK was on the gridiron.<\/p>\n
