Speaking on Friday’s episode of The Insiders on NFL Network, Barkley feels recharged by the hiring of the team’s newest — Sean Mannion. “I’m super excited about it,” Barkley said. “I’m going on Year 9, which is crazy to say, and I’ve had a lot of different coaches and head coaches and been a part of a lot of systems. I don’t think I really came across a system like this. For me, it’s refreshing. You get something new. You get to learn something new. “I got to meet him. We didn’t really talk about X’s and O’s and kind of just kept it introduction and got to meet a lot of the new guys on offense. As a competitor, you love it. You love the challenge of putting yourself in a new system and doing the things that you do really well, and also things that you need to improve on and that they’re going to challenge us to do. I feel like if we are able to have that mindset as an offense and buy into that, I think the sky’s the limit.”

In Roob’s Observations, just how young is the Eagles’ offensive coaching staff? – NBCSP
One notable thing about the offensive coaching staff the Eagles have assembled is just how young it is. Of the newcomers, Sean Mannion is 33, Josh Grizzard 35, Ryan Mahaffey 38 and Chris Kuper 43. Among the incumbents, Parks Frazier is 34, Aaron Moorehead 45 and Jemal Singleton 50. That’s an average age of 39.7 among the primary offensive coaches. That makes this the Eagles’ youngest offensive coaching staff in 29 years, since Ray Rhodes’ 1997 staff averaged 38.3 years old. That staff, which included three future NFL head coaches, consisted of offensive coordinator Jon Gruden and quarterbacks coach Sean Payton, who were both 33, offensive line coach Juan Castillo, who was 34, receivers coach Gerald Carr, who was 37, offensive line coach Bill Callahan, who was 40 and running backs coach Ted Williams, who was 53. There are plusses and minuses about having a staff this young. The risk is the lack of experience. Mannion, Grizzard, Frazier, Mahaffey and Kuper have an average of five years of NFL coaching experience, and Mannion has only two. These are young guys who are going to have to convince a room full of NFL players that they can help them get better as players and help the team win. But the positive is that at least in theory you get an injection of youthful energy, fresh ideasc and new concepts, elements this offense desperately needs. I like keeping the two veteran holdover position coaches, Moorehead and Singleton, to provide experience to this young staff and add a thread of consistency from 2025 to 2026. In theory, this staff has a ton of potential. What that winds up looking like we won’t know for quite some time.

Eagles fan discussion: Where in the world are Bleeding Green Nation’s readers? – BGN
We’re in that slow period between the Super Bowl and the new league year where it sometimes feels like the NFL world has ground to a halt. But we’re curious about your home base. Do you live in Philly or elsewhere?

Daniel Jeremiah talks Eagles ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft – PhillyVoice
Dallas Goedert is a free agent, so I’m wondering about Kenyon Sadiq, and whether he compared to guys like 2025 first-round picks Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren and what the chances are that the Eagles take a tight end with their first pick. Jeremiah: “I don’t see them going in that direction. “I think Sadiq is a talented player, but he’s not in the same grade for me as Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren. He’s just not as big. He’s going to be around 6’3, 245 pounds. Those guys are just bigger guys. Sadiq is going to run like crazy, he’s going to jump out of the gym, super dynamic, super explosive, someone who can take quick screens from the tight end position and do things with it, with the explosiveness and the ability to just run away from everybody. And then you’ll see him on a lot of runaway routes, a lot of wheel routes. But I don’t think he’s as polished as either Loveland or Warren, in terms of running a full complement of routes that you want from the tight end position. And it’s just not Howie Roseman’s M.O. I look at where they are offensive line-wise. I know Lane Johnson is coming back, but that’s something you’re looking for in the future. You have to find that eventual replacement there. We’ll see what happens in the offseason with Landon Dickerson as well. To me, offensive line for the Eagles seems more likely, and a place they could go. And then, you look at where they are with some of their other picks.”

Offseason Player Talk – Iggles Blitz
Free agency will dictate what the Eagles do in the draft to a certain extent. The most important order of business for the Eagles is re-signing edge rusher Jaelan Phillips. I’ve seen free agents rankings that had him as high as the #3 overall free agent. That surprised me. Phillips is good and in the prime of his career, but he’s got an injury history, has never had more than 8.5 sacks in a season and he’s never been voted to a Pro Bowl. I think Phillips ranking says more about the free agent class than it does him. This is not a class filled with stars and elite talent. Hopefully the market for Phillips will be good, but reasonable. As we know, it only takes one team to make a crazy offer. What should he cost? Here are a couple of projections.

Javonte Williams returning to Cowboys on 3-year deal worth $24M – Blogging The Boys
This is fantastic news in a number of ways for the Cowboys. First of all, they get to keep a great player in Javonte Williams. He was remarkable in his first season with the team after many thought his career was over following his stint with the Denver Broncos. Beyond the obvious, the Cowboys also got Williams back for a decent price. The deal is reportedly “worth up to” $8M per year which is incredible relative to the market rate at running back. Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift is at that mark for some context.

Trade offers for Raiders’ Maxx Crosby: Four potential new teams – ESPN
Dan Graziano’s offer — Raiders get: WR George Pickens, 2026 first-round pick (No. 20 overall). Cowboys get: Crosby, 2026 second-round pick (No. 36 overall). Why this deal makes sense: The Cowboys likely aren’t going to fork over a long-term, top-of-market deal for Pickens, and franchise-tagging him could cause more problems than it solves (as it did last year with edge rusher Micah Parsons). They get back Crosby, who will make around $30 million per year for the next two years and would replace Parsons. Then, Dallas could look elsewhere for its No. 2 wide receiver. The Raiders would have to sign Pickens long-term, but they’re not already paying CeeDee Lamb top-three WR money, as the Cowboys are. Pickens fits better into Las Vegas’ budget than he does into Dallas’ roster.

NFL Free Agent Spending 2020-2025 – Over The Cap
That then brings me to the Dallas Cowboys. Their use of free agency is pretty absurd. They haven’t had any type of playoff success and have been very inconsistent from season to season. They rank 25th in the NFL with 16 signings but have under less than $55 million in contracts. That is about $20 million less than the next closes team. They spend just $3.4 million per player which is absurd. That is less than the Texans who basically filled an entire years roster with free agent signings.

Mark Tyler’s Washington Commanders Pre-Combine Mock Offseason – Hogs Haven
LB – Nakobe Dean (25): 4yrs/$38M; $23.5M guaranteed. 2026 cap hit: $6M.

NY Giants land only 1 player on Pro Football Focus top 101 of 2025 list – Big Blue View
Andrew Thomas is the only member of the New York Giants to be named to the Pro Football Focus top 101 players of 2025 list.
