2026 NFL Offseason Calendar<\/p>\n
Feb. 23 \u2013 NFL Combine begins at Lucas Oil Stadium.<\/p>\n
March 3 \u2013 Teams have until 3 p.m. to designate franchise or transition players.<\/p>\n
March 9-11 \u2013 \u00a0Beginning at 11 a.m. on March 9 and ending at 3 p.m. on March 11, clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become unrestricted free agents upon the expiration of their 2025 player contracts at 4:00 p.m. ET, on March 12.<\/p>\n

March 11 \u2013 The 2026 league year, the trading period and free agency signing period begin at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
March 29-April 1 \u2013 Annual league meeting takes place in Phoenix, Arizona.<\/p>\n
April 6 \u2013 Teams that hired a new head coach after the end of the 2025 regular season can begin their offseason workout programs.<\/p>\n
April 15 \u2013 Deadline for clubs to time, test, visit, interview or conduct a physical examination with a draft-eligible player at its club facility.<\/p>\n
April 17 \u2013 Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets.<\/p>\n
April 20 \u2013 Teams with returning head coaches may begin offseason workout programs.<\/p>\n
April 23-25 \u2013 2026 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

May 1-4 or May 8-11 -Teams can hold their one, three-day rookie minicamp from Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday on one of the two weekends following the draft.<\/p>\n
July 15 \u2013 Deadline for any club that designated a franchise player to sign them to a multiyear contract or extension. After this date, the player may sign only a one-year contract with his prior team for the 2026 season, and the contract cannot be extended until after the last regular-season game.<\/p>\n
