Good morning, Broncos Country!<\/p>\n
Small apology in advance\u2026there is not much Broncos news to write about on this early Monday morning (like, none) that either hasn\u2019t been written about or isn\u2019t about to be covered in our upcoming free agent profiles, so I am left to rely on social media.<\/p>\n
But given that Team USA men\u2019s hockey pulled a Bo Nix-style OT win for Olympic gold yesterday, let\u2019s start there. Because that was amazing.<\/p>\n
Plus there were four Colorado Avs players in the gold medal match \u2014 Nathan Mackinnon, Cale Makar and Devon Toews for Team Canada and Bill Christian for Team USA. Fun fact: Christian\u2019s uncle played for the 1980 Miracle on Ice team that won Team USA\u2019s last gold medal in men\u2019s hockey, and his grandfather and great uncle won it in 1960.<\/p>\n
Watching Broncos left tackle Garett Bolles get excited for the OT win is just what you need on this Monday. Trust me.<\/p>\n
Of course there\u2019s no better Broncos\u2019 Olympic connection than Mikaela Shriffin, longtime fan and recent gold medalist.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere on social media, Broncos defensive lineman John Franklin Myers published a somewhat cryptic comment on the Instagram post of his former Jets teammate and new assistant coach for the Titans:<\/p>\n
\u201cYou thinking what I\u2019m thinking?\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
Actually, it\u2019s not all that cryptic. As a key defender on one of the NFL\u2019s best defensive squads, JFM will have many suitors. The Broncos will likely have to pony up more than they might be willing just to keep JFM.<\/p>\n
In honor of Black History Month, the Broncos have been featuring some of the African American pioneers for the Broncos over the years, including Marlin Briscoe and Gene Mingo.<\/p>\n
And if we\u2019re talking about some of the best from the past, let\u2019s not forget the best of today:<\/p>\n

But mostly I resonated with this sentiment from the Broncos yesterday \u2026 Already missing football season.<\/p>\n
