It wasn\u2019t the splashiest move made last year, but the Los Angeles Rams did make a swing for cornerback help when they traded the Tennessee Titans for Roger McCreary. According to the article below, he had a decent year, but I don\u2019t really recall him having much impact in L.A.\u2018s 2025 season, but McCreary may be able to use his season with the Rams to leverage a nice free agency deal.<\/p>\n

Could the Rams want to bring McCreary back? It would somewhat fit their mold of finding cornerback help initially drafted by another team.<\/p>\n

Whereas we don\u2019t know exactly how the Rams will do it, it almost seems like a certainty that they will retool their cornerbacks for the 2026 season. All options appear on the table, but I think many expect the Rams to add a cornerback or two via free agency and then draft a cornerback or two as well.<\/p>\n

We will see, but their cornerback room may be the group with the most new faces heading into the 2026 season. It\u2019s a situation to keep monitoring.<\/p>\n

While the coverage metrics have been up and down, he\u2019s just 26 years old and he has allowed just four passing touchdowns as the primary defender over the past three seasons combined.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rams head coach Sean McVay<\/a> praised McCreary when the trade was executed. The initial move was made for McCreary to be used as a depth piece but injuries quickly piled up, pressing McCreary into service as both a slot corner and on the outside, a position he hasn\u2019t played since his rookie season.\u201c<\/p>\n

\u201cAs NFL<\/a> franchises begin narrowing their target lists ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, renowned analyst Charles Davis projected the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> to make a selection that would immediately reshape one of the league\u2019s most dangerous receiving rooms.<\/p>\n

The Rams are coming off a 2025 season in which Puka Nacua cemented himself as arguably the NFL\u2019s premier chain-mover, hauling in 129 catches for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns to finish among the league leaders.\u201c<\/p>\n

\u201dThe Hoosiers were playing Washington. The Huskies came out in a stack formation and threw a screen pass. Denzel Boston, their 6-4, 210-pound receiver, tried to block Ponds.<\/p>\n
