Former Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman announced his retirement from the NFL via an Instagram post on Monday:<\/p>\n
Bozeman, 31, arrived in Baltimore in 2018 as a sixth-round pick out of Alabama. He earned the starting left guard job in his second year and held onto it in 2020. In 2021, he moved to center, his college position, and had the best season of his young career.<\/p>\n
The Ravens explored an extension with Bozeman before he hit free agency in 2022, but his asking price was too high. He received shockingly little interest in free agency and ultimately signed a one-year, $2.8MM deal with the Panthers. Baltimore, meanwhile, replaced Bozeman with first-round pick Tyler Linderbaum, who is currently amidst his own contract negotiations with the team<\/a>.<\/p>\n Bozeman took over as the Panthers\u2019 starting center partway through the 2022 season, which earned him a three-year extension in the offseason. However, he was released just one year into the deal after Carolina hired Dave Canales as their new head coach. He quickly found a new home with the Chargers, who had just hired Joe Hortiz \u2013 who was the Ravens\u2019 college scouting director when Bozeman was drafted \u2013 as their new general manager. He started every game for Los Angeles over the next two years but was a clear liability in 2025.<\/p>\n
