If he does not re-sign or announce his retirement before that deadline, he will enter free agency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Veach spoke about the situation at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, saying conversations with Kelce and his representatives have been ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cTravis is the best, he\u2019s an icon, and hopefully he comes back and we\u2019ll just kind of let that process play out,\u201d Veach said. \u201cYou need some sort of deadline timeline, but at the same time, I mean, it\u2019s Travis Kelce, so we\u2019re going to just continue to have positive dialogue and see where this thing ends, but I think we\u2019re trying to position ourselves that either way, you know, we have a plan moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt\u2019s not your typical \u2014 hey, 27-year-old first time in free agency,\u201d Veach said. \u201cTravis has done everything, he\u2019s accomplished everything \u2014 he\u2019s about to get married, he\u2019s got a lot going on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Veach said Head Coach Andy Reid also reported positive dialogue with Kelce. He added that he, Assistant General Manager Chris Shea and Kelce\u2019s representatives have had ongoing discussions and expected further conversations in the weeks to come.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe\u2019ve prepared for either scenario,\u201d Veach said. \u201cI\u2019m sure we\u2019re going to see him here just like we will all the other players\u2019 agents and we\u2019ll continue that dialogue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 KCTV.
