CEO, Jim Irsay, passed away peacefully in his sleep this afternoon,&#8221; Colts chief operating officer Pete Ward said in a team statement. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jim&#8217;s dedication and passion for the Indianapolis Colts in addition to his generosity, commitment to the community, and most importantly, his love for his family were unsurpassed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The plan for the Colts&#8217; succession involves Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt, and Kalen Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>Each of Irsay&#8217;s daughters currently hold the title of vice chair\/owner.<\/p>\n<p>The late Colts owner previously stated that his daughters are all equals in team ownership and will continue to be involved in the team after his death.<\/p>\n<p>One daughter will hold the vote as principle owner, but it won&#8217;t be a fixed role and can be rotated.<\/p>\n<p>All three daughters have served as vice chair\/owner for the last 12 years, focusing on different initiatives over that time.<\/p>\n<p>Carlie Irsay-Gordon<a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Indianapolis Colts vice chair and co-owner, at an NFL game.\" height=\"960\" width=\"640\" data-credit=\"Getty\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/indianapolis-colts-vice-chair-co-997215912.jpg\" data-caption=\"Carlie Irsay-Gordon is Irsay's eldest daughter and will take charge of football operations\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nfl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/indianapolis-colts-vice-chair-co-997215912.jpg\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5<\/p>\n<p>Carlie Irsay-Gordon is Irsay&#8217;s eldest daughter and will take charge of football operationsCredit: Getty<\/p>\n<p>Carlie is Irsay&#8217;s eldest daughter, and is expected to take over the role as principle owner.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Indianapolis Star, she will &#8220;primarily take charge of the football side of the franchise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Before Irsay&#8217;s death, Carlie served as a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/topic\/nfl\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL<\/a>&#8216;s Media Owned &amp; Operated Committee, which oversees NFL Network, NFL.com, NFL Mobile, and other media properties.<\/p>\n<p>She also served as a member of the NFL&#8217;s Security &amp; Fan Conduct Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Carlie has represented the Colts at Owners&#8217; Meetings for years.<\/p>\n<p>She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in sports marketing, and quickly put that to use in the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>Foyt was involved in bringing the first NFL game to London at Wembley Stadium in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>After that, she joined the Colts organization and focused on community relations and marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Foyt rebuilt the Indianapolis Colts Women&#8217;s Organization and helps plans its fundraisers.<\/p>\n<p>She lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband, Anthony J.
