Cue word: if they get what they want for him. Florio’s league source told him that the Raiders are hunting for two first-round picks and a player to replace their edge rusher.History repeats itself then! Because that’s what Jerry Jones’ Dallas Cowboys did last year with defensive end Micah Parsons. Is this “DE” position a trade favorite? Parsons’ trade to the Green Bay Packers brought a 2026 first-round pick, a 2027 first-round pick, and veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark from the Packers.

Las Vegas Raiders need a player and two first round picks for Maxx Crosby

In the case of Crosby, the Raiders are ready for a player who’s a starting-level contributor. Another deciding factor would be the position of the two first round picks. Two first-round picks from a perennial playoff team are different from two first rounders from a competitive team who fails to win.Las Vegas general manager John Spytek recently added fuel to Crosby trade talks at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. When a reporter asked him if Crosby was tradeable, he said. “I learned a long time ago, always listen. I’m always listening [to trade offers].” But a mixed reply like this: “Maxx is an elite player. I’ve been very upfront from the start since I got here, that we’re in the business of having really good players on the team, and we need a lot more of them,” may prove that they’re looking for first-round picks and a possible trade option for Crosby.

NFL Insider believes Maxx Crosby may not be traded

Anyhow, there was someone from the inside who does not believe that the 28-year-old edge rusher would be traded anytime soon. NFL Insider Adam Schefter said last week, “Do I think they want to trade him, no. Do I think he’ll be traded like A.J. Brown [could be], that’ll change by the week. Any deal involving Maxx Crosby, I would think for the Raiders to make that deal, would take a first-round pick at minimum.”However, the DE’s trade news has been circulating even before Super Bowl LX. FOX Sports reported that the five-time Pro Bowler was expected to be traded because he did not want another rebuild with Las Vegas.Anyhow, Las Vegas’ newly appointed head coach, Klint Kubiak, said earlier this month that he wants Crosby to stay, and so did the owner, Mark Davis. Now, what does his contract say? He signed a three-year contract extension worth $106.5 million with $91.5 million guaranteed in March 2025. In 2026, the defensive end is scheduled to earn a base salary of $30 million, carry a cap hit of $35.79 million, and have a dead cap value of $35.10 million.

Maxx Crosby wants to play for New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel

The Athletic reported that Crosby was interested in playing for New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. In early February, when NFL Insider Jay Glazer appeared on Yahoo Sports Daily, he was asked if Crosby was ready to move on from the Raiders. He said, “I do.”Another insider, Dianna Russini, said during the same time at an appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub that Maxx doesn’t seem so happy in Las Vegas. He may ask for a trade. And she knows that he wants to play for Mike Vrabel. He’s told her before.

(Image via Getty: Las Vegas Raiders) NBC Sports’ Mike Florio recently reported that the Las Vegas Raiders are…

[2065
4191,14661,75439,7,4949,1744,393,2455,2454,6563,5745,838,249,6,8228,525
0":"post-777645","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-las-vegas-raiders","8":"tag-adam-schefter","9":"tag-edge-rusher","10":"tag-first-round-picks","11":"tag-football","12":"tag-john-spytek","13":"tag-las-vegas","14":"tag-las-vegas-raiders","15":"tag-lasvegas","16":"tag-lasvegasraiders","17":"tag-maxx-crosby","18":"tag-mike-florio","19":"tag-mike-vrabel","20":"tag-new-england-patriots","21":"tag-nfl","22":"tag-nfl-trade-rumors","23":"tag-raiders
["GET
