The Minnesota Vikings<\/a> fell short of reaching the NFL<\/a> Playoffs last season after finishing the year with a 9-8 record.<\/p>\n

This has prompted some debate as to whether 2024 first round<\/a> pick J.J. McCarthy has what it takes to be the Vikings\u2019 QB of the future, after he finished the 2025 campaign with a 57.6% completion rate while also recording 11 TDs and 12 interceptions, as per nfl.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Should Minnesota try and get Aaron Rodgers?<\/p>\n

For ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky<\/a>, he believes Minnesota should look at adding a four time MVP to their QB depth chart<\/a> for next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs much as I worry about the stunting of the growth (of McCarthy), nope. If Aaron Rodgers wants to go to Minnesota and if I\u2019m Minnesota, go get Aaron Rodgers,\u201d Orlovsky said<\/a> during an appearance on ESPN\u2019s Get Up<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Orlovsky then also mentioned other quarterbacks<\/a> that the Vikings could consider acquiring.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe totem pole should be Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, Kyler Murray. That should be\u2026the order for the Minnesota Vikings,\u201d Orlovsky added.<\/p>\n

Overall, Orlovsky believes that the team\u2019s chances of winning each week should be Minnesota\u2019s top priority next season ahead of the development of the 23 year old McCarthy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re Minnesota, you have to be thinking of who is the best quarterback for us available right now and go get him,\u201d Orlovsky said.<\/p>\n

\u201cKevin O\u2019Connell\u2019s a great coach. The NFL doesn\u2019t care about what you did two years ago. If you have another bad year, you\u2019re going to be on that hot seat all of a sudden and then you\u2019re in that same situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

It sure would be interesting to see what Aaron Rodgers could do<\/a> for the Vikings\u2019 Super Bowl<\/a> chances if he does find himself joining their side.<\/p>\n
