Icon Sportswire via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The Athletic noted that the contracts for a number of NBC\u2019s studio football analysts expired after Super Bowl 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dungy garnered some football fans\u2019 anger after Bill Belichick failed to garner enough votes to make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The former Colts head coach was part of the committee that chose the class of 2026, and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/08\/sports\/rodney-harrison-shades-tony-dungy-during-super-bowl-broadcast-over-bill-belichick-hall-of-fame-vote\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he refused to say whether he voted for Belichick <\/a>to make it in.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Former professional football coach Tony Dungy looks on before the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium on December 07, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>He even did so during NBC\u2019s Super Bowl pregame show, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/08\/sports\/rodney-harrison-shades-tony-dungy-during-super-bowl-broadcast-over-bill-belichick-hall-of-fame-vote\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">prompting former Patriots star Rodney Harrison to shade Dungy<\/a> on the air.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I would say, coach, is any list that doesn\u2019t include Bill Belichick at the top is absolutely wrong,\u201d Harrison said. \u201cAnd a lot of those players that we mentioned, they\u2019re great players. I played with Drew Brees. I played with Adam Vinatieri. But there\u2019s nobody more deserving to be in that Hall of Fame than Coach Belichick. I\u2019ve seen his greatness. I\u2019ve seen him design defenses to stop your offense. You just look at the players that he\u2019s impacted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s been unbelievable. When I look throughout the Hall of Fame, and even a guy like Tom Brady, Tom Brady wouldn\u2019t be Tom Brady without Bill Belichick.
