Unfortunately, a shin injury following a two-touchdown performance against the Washington Commanders proved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fieldgulls.com\/seattle-seahawks-injury-report\/159177\/mike-macdonald-seahawks-wr-tory-horton-wont-be-back-for-postseason\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">unrecoverable for the remainder of the year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Speaking with media at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald had some news of note to share regarding when Horton will return\u2026 or, more accurately, when he won\u2019t return to action.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">While the specifics and severity of Horton\u2019s injury still remain largely unknown, it looks like the earliest we\u2019ll see Horton is training camp in July.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">From ESPN\u2019s Brady Henderson:<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">OTAs and mandatory minicamp are usually in May through mid-June, which is technically all in the spring. If the start of June is unofficial summer, then perhaps Horton could be around for minicamp.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">While it would be nice to know more about Horton\u2019s injury in terms of what he suffered, it doesn\u2019t take much thinking to figure out that it was severe enough to (at least based on Macdonald\u2019s warning) necessitate surgery. Horton had season-ending knee surgery at the end of his college career in 2024, which likely had an impact on his draft stock dropping to the fifth round.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The time to worry even a little bit re Horton is if he\u2019s on the PUP list through this August.
