SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Notre Dame is adding Aaron Henry to its coaching staff as co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach ahead of spring practice, which opens next month.<\/p>\n
Henry comes to Notre Dame with more than 10 years of college football coaching experience. Most recently, he served in the same role at Illinois for the past three seasons.<\/p>\n
Henry is joining a defensive staff that has already seen significant success under the program\u2019s current leadership.<\/p>\n
\u201cMarcus Freeman, Chris Ash, they\u2019ve created a really good meal right? And on that plate it\u2019s unbelievable,\u201d Henry said. \u201cIf I can just add a pinch of my little bit of flavor to that already incredible plate, I think we can help elevate this thing. Push it to heights that they\u2019ve been able to accomplish over the course of this school\u2019s tenure and I\u2019m just here to add some flavor. I\u2019m just here to help these young men grow in every aspect of their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
