The Cleveland Browns<\/a>, outside of their stout defense, are rarely considered among the cream of the crop in NFL. That held true in this year’s annual report cards from the NFL Players Association.<\/p>\n

In the survey, reported by ESPN<\/a>, the Miami Dolphins finished first overall for the third consecutive year. The Minnesota Vikings finished second and the Washington Commanders rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n

The Browns<\/a> avoided finishing last, instead landing at 30th for the second year in a row. The rival Pittsburgh Steelers “earned” the bottom spot for the first time in the four-year history of the union’s survey.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN’s reporting, “The NFLPA is not making the report cards public this year following a grievance filed by the NFL, which claimed the survey violated the collective bargaining agreement.”<\/p>\n

The survey is based on a multitude of different variables ranging from each organizations “treatment of families” to the “training staff,” “training room,” “weight room” and “strength coaches” to “ownership” and “team travel,” to name a few.<\/p>\n

The Browns were given an “F” grade for their locker room, the worst grade in any category. Their best grade \u2014 an A- \u2014 was given to the defensive coordinator position, which will look different later this year after Jim Schwartz’ resignation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Browns also were handed a D- grade in the “treatment of families” category.<\/p>\n

Cleveland finished with a 5-12 record last season, last in the NFC North. They did, however, finish out the season on a two-game winning streak.<\/p>\n
