Bears GM Ryan Poles wants to keep offensive linemen Darnell Wright<\/a> and Jonah Jackson<\/a> together on the right side and have veteran G Joe Thuney<\/a> stay on the left side. Poles added that the injury to T Ozzy Trapillo is not career-threatening but will cause him to miss most of next season. (Adam Hoge<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Packers OLB Micah Parsons<\/a> suffered a season-ending knee injury in December. Green Bay GM Brian Gutekunst said he plans on making sure Parsons is patient with his rehab, given they want to protect their investment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure not only with him but a couple others, there\u2019s going to be a lot of pressing to get out there and play,\u201d Gutekunst said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.<\/a> \u201cHe calls me the \u2018No Man,\u2019 but yeah, we\u2019ll kinda see. Obviously we made a very big investment in him and protecting that investment I think is really important.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gutekunst said he has no regrets trading for Parsons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cPlayers like Micah very rarely become available and the way he impacted our football team, you guys saw it,\u201d Gutekunst said. \u201cHe\u2019s a rare player that can do what he can do when he\u2019s on the field and the way he affects the game and the way he affects winning. So no regrets there and certainly expect him back better than ever once he gets rolling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vikings VP of Football Operations Rob Brzezinski said the team will cast a \u201cwide net\u201d to help find a quarterback who can elevate the room, whether that\u2019s a starter or a backup that can challenge QB J.J. McCarthy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we do know is we need a level of baseline quarterback play for us to be effective,\u201d Brzezinski said, via ESPN<\/a>. \u201cA lot of this has been J.J. in unfortunate [situations] with some of the injuries and things that he\u2019s dealt with, but we\u2019re going to explore every opportunity, and I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anything specifically we\u2019re looking for. We can\u2019t manufacture anything that\u2019s not there. So No. 1, what are the options? Is it reciprocal? Is it financially doable? All those things. There\u2019s just a lot of factors that go into it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vikings HC Kevin O\u2019Connell<\/a> anointed McCarthy as their franchise quarterback back in 2024, but admitted that circumstances have changed and there\u2019s a sense of urgency with the current roster to win now.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just the timeline is in a different place for all of us than it was at that point,\u201d O\u2019Connell said. \u201cAnd I have a responsibility \u2014 we have a responsibility collectively as we put together this team \u2014 to make sure that we use the data that we have at this time and the experiences we have, the feelings that we\u2019ve had at different times as an organization.\u201c<\/p>\n
