After initially setting a salary cap range<\/a> about a month ago, the NFL officially locked in the salary cap for the 2026 season. The cap jumped from $279.2 million to $301.2 for 2026, an increase of $22 million from a year ago.<\/p>\n

That number is on the low end of the previously released range, which was from $301.2 million to $305.7 million. Still, the Los Angeles Rams<\/a> will have plenty of space to work with this offseason.<\/p>\n

According to Over The Cap<\/a>, the Rams have the ninth-most cap space of any team, sitting with about $42 million in available spending money. The Titans have the most at $94.8 million, the only team with at least $90 million in cap room as of now.<\/p>\n

These numbers are obviously fluid because moves are bound to be made before and during free agency. The Rams could cut players to free up more space, including cutting Darious Williams to save $7.5 million.<\/p>\n

With a glaring hole at cornerback and a clear need for wide receiver, offensive tackle and potentially safety help, the Rams are expected to be aggressive this offseason in pursuit of another ring.<\/p>\n
