Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine<\/a> went around the league and named the “perfect” free agency fit for each team. For edge rusher Odafe Oweh, he connected him to the Buccaneers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The Bucs have been looking for a young edge-rusher to lead the pass rush for a while. Odafe Oweh is a popular pick to re-sign with the Chargers<\/a> after they traded for him during the 2025 season or follow Jesse Minter back to Baltimore. He had 7.5 sacks in 12 games while playing for Minter this season,” Ballentine writes.<\/p>\n

“However, Todd Bowles’ ability to scheme pass-rushers into one-on-one situations shouldn’t be taken lightly. It would be a huge get for the Bucs to convince the 27-year-old to head to Tampa.<\/p>\n

“He would be a great fit in Bowles’ aggressive defensive system and he’d fill a need they just haven’t figured out.”<\/p>\n

Oweh is one of the most promising players available at his position, and thus, he should gain interest from several teams around the league. He is projected to land a three-year, $57.9 million contract, according to Spotrac.<\/p>\n

The Chargers acquired Oweh in October via trade with the Ravens. The team sent safety Alohi Gilman and a fifth-round pick in exchange for the edge rusher. The 27-year-old had a slow start to the season, but turned a corner once he arrived in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Oweh posted an 81.6 PFF pass-rush grade with 39 pressures and 7.5 sacks across 13 regular-season games with the Chargers. His performance of the season came against the Patriots in the playoffs, where he posted three sacks and a 90.1 PFF pass-rushing grade.\u00a0<\/p>\n
