Arthur added that Rutledge has early-round stock, and if the Colts want him, they may have to pick him at 47th overall.

Rutledge is listed at 6-4, 330 pounds, and is an experienced player with over 3,000 career snaps on offense over four seasons. The bulk of his playing time has come at right guard.

This past season, Rutledge was excellent in pass protection, allowing no sacks and only six pressures over 440 pass-blocking reps. He graded out well in the run game by PFF’s metrics as well.

For more on Rutledge, NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein had this to say in his pre-draft scouting report:

Expert NFL picks: Exclusive betting insights only at USA TODAY.

“Rutledge is a burly, experienced right guard with excellent contact pop and a rugged field demeanor that will appeal to offensive line coaches. He excels as a drive/combo blocker, where he displaces defenders, but he has the athleticism to operate in all run-blocking concepts. He understands technique but suffers from occasional rough patches due to inconsistent balance and body control. His pass protection range is average, and edge leakage could be a concern against NFL athletes. Rutledge has the toughness to earn a role as a good backup with starting potential.”

The Colts enter the offseason with all three of their starting interior offensive line on the roster, but depth is very much a need. As we discussed when diving into the state of the Colts’ offseason roster, there is very little experienced depth along the offensive line at the moment.

Adding competition to this unit would be the prudent move by GM Chris Ballard.

Feb. 28, 2026, 2:24 p.m. ET At the 2026 NFL combine, the Indianapolis Colts met with Georgia Tech…

[2059
95878,2005,7,2004,392,2381,6,49915,95900,95882,96027,95903,95896,95888,95895,95906,95883,95881
0":"post-784149","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-indianapolis-colts","8":"tag-accessfree","9":"tag-colts","10":"tag-football","11":"tag-indianapolis","12":"tag-indianapolis-colts","13":"tag-indianapoliscolts","14":"tag-nfl","15":"tag-sstssportsnflcolts","16":"tag-sstsncolts","17":"tag-tagamerican-football","18":"tag-tagcollege-sports","19":"tag-tagindianapolis-colts","20":"tag-tagnational-sports","21":"tag-tagnfl","22":"tag-tagnfl-hub","23":"tag-tagoverall-positive","24":"tag-tagsports-news","25":"tag-typestory
["GET
