Now he\u2019ll undoubtedly enter 2026 on the hot seat in New York.<\/p>\n<p>Glenn, a defensive-minded coach, oversaw a defense that allowed the NFL\u2019s second-most points in 2025. While finding a franchise quarterback could take time, Glenn needs to come back with a much-improved defense. Yet, one of the coaches Glenn hired may have created a path for an All-Pro to follow him to New York.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>One thing the recent Jermaine Johnson for T\u2019Vondre Sweat trade accomplished was clearing up $11.8 million in cap space. ESPN\u2019s Rich Cimini suggested New York could use some of that money to trade for All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick from the <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsnaut.com\/tag\/miami-dolphins\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Miami Dolphins;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Miami Dolphins<\/a>, and the recent hire of Brian Duker could help.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne name to watch is\u00a0Miami Dolphins\u00a0safety\u00a0Minkah Fitzpatrick, who reportedly is available for trade,\u201d Cimini wrote. \u201cNew Jets defensive coordinator Brian Duker was the Dolphins\u2019 passing-game coordinator, so he\u2019s familiar with Fitzpatrick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fitzpatrick, 30, is entering the final year of his contract in Miami and has a cap hit of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spotrac.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/25106\/minkah-fitzpatrick\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:$18.8 million;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">$18.8 million<\/a> in 2026.
