The New York Giants<\/a> have some new shotcallers in the building this year, but one thing is certain: They want to keep their core of budding young stars in the fold.<\/p>\n

Wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson is headed for free agency, and his market might eclipse anything the Giants are willing to offer. Another player, cornerback Cor’Dale Flott, will also test the free agent market in ten days, and could also be a hot commodity after a solid season in 2025.<\/p>\n

Flott’s market could run the Giants approximately $10 million AAV, and with their available salary cap space around $2.4 million at the moment, they will have to get creative to keep him.<\/p>\n

ESPN’s Benjamin Solak, after speaking to executives at the 2026 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, believes Flott is one of three impending free agents who will be paid more than many expect.<\/p>\n

The Giants need depth at cornerback, and losing Flott would be a blow to their already wobbly defense. But is he the type of player that new head coach John Harbaugh and incoming defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson are looking for?<\/p>\n

The Giants hold the fifth and the 37th overall selections in the 2026 NFL draft and could very well use one of them on a corner. There are also a slew of less expensive options in free agency.<\/p>\n

The bottom line is that Flott may played his way to a big payday, and the Giants might have to let him find that elsewhere.<\/p>\n
