The Pittsburgh Steelers are banking on a solid run in the 2026 NFL<\/a> draft, and it sure does appear that Aaron Rodgers<\/a> will be back as their quarterback, but those details have yet to emerge.<\/p>\n

The NFL Combine has wound down<\/a>, the 2026 NFL draft<\/a> is coming up, and although it’s several weeks away, each day, teams get closer to their decisions on which players they’ll want to draft.<\/p>\n

Lucky for the Steelers that the 2026 NFL draft is set for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, April 25, 2026.<\/p>\n

“The annual NFL Draft gives the teams the opportunity to infuse their rosters with new talent,” the official NFL website states of the draft<\/a>. “Some players will provide an instant boost to the team that selects them; others won’t. But the chance that drafted players will lead their new clubs to glory makes teams compete over talent, whether in the first round or the last.”<\/p>\n

Aaron Rodgers Gets Solid News in NFL Projection\"Aaron<\/p>\n

If Rodgers is with the Steelers in 2026, he won’t have to do it on his own. The team had a solid run in 2025, with a 10-7 record, so even just a little more help will be huge for this quarterback.<\/p>\n

In a Monday, March 2, feature for USA Today<\/a>, Nate Davis gives his projections for the 2026 NFL draft. His predictions come out of the NFL Combine, where franchises were able to see the top 2026 NFL draft prospects in action.<\/p>\n

“In addition to eye-popping testing numbers and interviews that don\u2019t raise red flags, front office executives and coaches are also looking at media interactions and, among other considerations, clean medical reports \u2013 perhaps the most critical, if underrated, aspect of any combine,” Davis notes in the feature.<\/p>\n

For the Steelers, Davis has them going with wide receiver Jordyn Tyson out of Arizona State for their No. 21 pick. Every quarterback needs a good wide receiver, right?<\/p>\n

“Could the draft\u2019s host team take a young quarterback to build around in the future? Sure. Is it the best move in a seemingly weaker QB class \u2013 especially if the Steelers want to give Aaron Rodgers, assuming he returns, the best chance to take this organization further in 2026?” Davis states. “Of course not. The lack of receiving depth behind DK Metcalf was apparent last season but especially so during his late-season suspension.
