College and NFL<\/a> football come together this time of year, since the top college players suddenly become upcoming NFL standouts.<\/p>\n

Now that the NFL Combine has closed out<\/a>, the 2026 NFL draft<\/a> is on the way, and that means the top college football players across the country will find out their NFL fates.<\/p>\n

Ohio State<\/a> has a slew of strong players that could make great NFL players. They’re one of the teams that will be represented at the 2-26 NFL draft, which is set for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, April 25, 2026.<\/p>\n

“The annual NFL Draft gives the teams the opportunity to infuse their rosters with new talent,” the official NFL website states of the event<\/a>. “Some players will provide an instant boost to the team that selects them; others won’t. But the chance that drafted players will lead their new clubs to glory makes teams compete over talent, whether in the first round or the last.”<\/p>\n

Ohio State Standout Likely to Get Drafted Early\"Arvell<\/p>\n

In a Monday, March 2, feature for USA Today<\/a>, Nate Davis gives his predictions for the 2026 NFL draft. His picks take into account the NFL Combine, where franchises were able to see the top 2026 NFL draft prospects on the field and talk to them.<\/p>\n

“In addition to eye-popping testing numbers and interviews that don\u2019t raise red flags, front office executives and coaches are also looking at media interactions and, among other considerations, clean medical reports \u2013 perhaps the most critical, if underrated, aspect of any combine,” Davis notes in the feature.<\/p>\n

Davis predicts that Ohio State OLB\/DE Arvell Reese will go to the struggling Arizona Cardinals.<\/p>\n

“Arizona is the proverbial team that could be at least a year away from being a year away,” Davis notes. “And that means GM Monti Ossenfort, who traded out of the opportunity to take future All-Pro DE Will Anderson Jr. in 2023, probably needs to be in the business of accumulating blue-chip players \u2013 and Reese projects as one.”<\/p>\n

He adds, “The Micah Parsons comparisons are obviously premature, but Reese, who turns 21 in August, has plenty of time to develop into a full-time pass rusher and maybe justify the comp one day.
