The Detroit Lions<\/a> are turning the page up front. The Lions<\/a> announced on Monday that the organization has released veteran interior offensive lineman Graham Glasgow.<\/p>\n

Glasgow, who was selected 95th overall in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft, was the Lions’ starting center in 2025. Across two stints in the Motor City, Glasgow played in 110 games and started 103.<\/p>\n

But, Glasgow’s performance was one of the reasons Detroit suffered offensive line regression last season. Glasgow carded just a 56.8 overall offensive grade, per Pro Football Focus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

By releasing Glasgow, the Lions save roughly $5.6 million on Detroit’s 2026 salary cap. Before its moves today, the Lions were roughly $12.2 million over the cap<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Lions will need to be cap compliant before the start of the new league year on March 11 at 4 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

Lions general manager Brad Holmes was asked about Glasgow’s future last week at the NFL Scouting Combine. With Glasgow also mulling retirement, Holmes said the Lions wanted an answer before the start of the new league year.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s still under contract. Again, the start of the league year is a real date, so you want to have as much clarity as possible before then, so hopefully we get as much clarity as we can before then on Graham,\u201d Holmes said last week.<\/p>\n

When asked what Glasgow’s future looked like if he decided to keep playing, Holmes was noncomittal.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose are still dialogues that we just gotta have in the future,\u201d Holmes said.<\/p>\n
