In a recent roundup of NFL buzz<\/a> for ESPN, Dan Graziano suggested that several backup quarterback coule be on the trade block as the league approaches free agency.<\/p>\n Graziano mentioned several backup quarterbacks who could be trade candidates, including Jarrett Stidham of the Denver Broncos<\/a>. Here’s an excerpt from his story:<\/p>\n Teams that have better-known backups entering the final years of their contracts — such as Bagent in Chicago,\u00a0Tanner McKee<\/a>\u00a0in Philadelphia,\u00a0Will Levis<\/a>\u00a0in Tennessee, Davis Mills in Houston,\u00a0Jarrett Stidham<\/a>\u00a0in Denver, etc. — are seeing if there’s interest and whether they can get trade value out of this offseason’s odd QB market.<\/p>\n Denver trading Stidham would be an unexpected move. Yes, the 29-year-old quarterback is entering the final year of his contract, but he’s clearly been a good mentor for Bo Nix, and coach Sean Payton has been full of praise for Stidham. Sam Ehlinger is also set to become a free agent<\/a> next week, so if the team trades Stidham, Nix would be the only remaining QB under contract for 2026.<\/p>\n Need a news break?
