Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride put together a season for the ages in 2025, hauling in 126 receptions to shatter the single-season record for his position. That production landed him first-team All-Pro honors.<\/p>\n

Through four seasons in the NFL<\/a>, McBride has racked up 3,475 receiving yards. That number sits ahead of what Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, Rob Gronkowski, and Antonio Gates managed in their first four years.<\/p>\n

History backs it up, too. Only Jimmy Graham with 3,863, Mike Ditka with 3,671, and George Kittle with 3,579 had more over that same stretch.<\/p>\n

Despite all the accolades piling up, McBride is not ready to crown himself just yet. During an appearance on the Ross Tucker Football Podcast<\/a> last week, he was asked if he considers himself the best tight end in football.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I don\u2019t. These guys, Travis (Kelce), George (Kittle), Mark Andrews and all these other really good tight ends, they\u2019ve been doing it for a long time,\u201d McBride said. \u201cThey\u2019ve been doing it for six, seven, eight, nine years now or whatever it is, so their body of work is just tremendous. I think, you know, I just got to keep stacking, keep putting good years on tape and maybe in four or five years, yeah, but right now, I don\u2019t feel like I\u2019m there.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is a humble take from someone who\u2019s already built an impressive resume. The tight ends McBride mentioned have been dominant for years, so his caution makes sense. That said, his numbers speak for themselves.<\/p>\n

McBride set the Cardinals\u2019 single-season record for catches by a tight end and finished with 1,239 yards and 11 touchdowns. That is not a quiet season by any measure.<\/p>\n
