The Denver Broncos<\/a> are looking to add playmakers to the offensive side of the ball, to give quarterback Bo Nix even more weapons in his arsenal going into his third season under center.<\/p>\n One of the biggest potential prizes in this year’s free agency pool is Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> wide receiver Mike Evans. Evans is a six-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time AP second-team All-Pro with eleven 1,000 receiving yard seasons. He’s been extremely durable during his 12-year career, and he has a Super Bowl ring. He’s the kind of veteran wide receiver that would make sense for contenders.<\/p>\n As Evans prepares to hit the open market for the first time in his career, he has four parameters that have to be met in order to sign with a team: A quarterback he believes in, a top-shelf offensive coordinator, a chance at a Super Bowl and the promise of high-value volume.<\/p>\n According to Evans’ agent Deryk Gilmore, the Broncos<\/a> fit the majority of his criteria, with one exception: the promise of targets. “They\u2019d have to want to get rid of Courtland Sutton,” Gilmore told the Denver Post’s Luca Evans. “I don\u2019t think they\u2019re going to do that. So I don\u2019t think (Evans) ends up there.\u201d<\/p>\n Sutton received exactly 20 more targets<\/a> than Denver’s next closest receiver last fall, and he is one of Nix’s favorite and most reliable targets. Sutton also signed a four-year deal prior to the 2025 season, keeping him in Denver until 2029. It’s difficult to imagine the Broncos<\/a> breaking ties with Sutton after investing so much in him.<\/p>\n Need a news break? Evans’ agents were at the NFL combine with Buccaneers officials, “aggressively pursu(ing)” a reunion, according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine<\/a>.
