Human interest stories can be the best part about sports, and Trent McDuffie being traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Los Angeles Rams is most definitely a sports story, but it\u2019s a human interest one too because back in August 2025 McDuffie was asked if there was another team in the NFL he\u2019d consider playing for?<\/p>\n
Can you guess who that team was? Did my headline not give it away?<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat other team would like to play for?\u2026 You gonna try to get me in trouble\u2026let\u2019s think\u2026if I could play for another team, I\u2019d probably want to play close to my family, so that\u2019d probably be\u2026the L.A. Rams so that my family could come and see every single game.\u201c<\/p>\n
To be fair, with regard to the clip and McDuffie\u2019s previous quote, the audience seems to be mostly kids and they are laughing as McDuffie tries to navigate the question. At the time, this story would\u2019ve been seen as a light-hearted interaction, but jump forward to 2026 and McDuffie will reportedly be a member of the Rams on March 11th, the new league year.<\/p>\n
All of the sudden, that innocent question, the playful response and the fun video, have a ton of meaning.<\/p>\n
